Getting started

Well, nothing major started yet, but everything is sorted to get rebuild started.
The body kit is now at Doyles Crash ready to be test fitted to new shell.
Have paid for shell and that is now waiting at NissWreck until Doyles finish some other cars off and then it will be towed there.
Kit will be tested, modified if needed, then sprayed Porsche Aero Blue.
Once it is sprayed, the crashed wreck that is at my place at the moment will be towed to Doyles to have everything swapped over.

Wheels

Ive been trying to decide what wheels I would get later down the track for the car. And I've decided.
Will be getting a set of Rota P45R's.
I wont be getting them straight away as I cant afford all at once, but when I can get big wheels for the kit, they will be it.

I also have decided what colour Doyles Crash will paint my car.
Porsche Aero Blue. Doesn't start until 13th of March now due to Public Holiday on the 12th.
I got the idea from my mates car. I loved the colour the first time I saw it.

Bodykit look test 1

I put some panels of the kit along side the car to get an idea of what it will look like.

Wide enough for you?

New Widebody Kit

I bought a Widebody kit from DMD Image (www.dmdtheimage.com) up in Queensland.
Its a kit that hasnt been used in South Australia I dont think so will be only S14 here with such a kit.

Hydraulic Handbrake test location. Will swap locations around for Hydraulic is closer to driver seat.

Crash effect

On the 3rd of February, 2007, I crashed my car in the Adelaide hills. I basically hit two barriers at 70kmph and damaged all panels, except the left door.

Pictures of damage after crash:

Front right control arm is majorly bent. Needs replacing aslo.

I had a few options.
A: Buy a new shell. Buy new kit. swap everything over.
B: Claim on insurance and get a payout and lose the car and still have $10,000 left on loan.
C: Fix the damage.

I have decided to opt for A. This way I will be able to get a clean straight shell with no crash history and at the same time, get a new spray job and new colour I intended to get later anyway.

The kit and new shell is booked into Doyles Crash to be sprayed and the engine swap on the 12th of March and will take approx 1 and a half months to complete and will be driven out
